We’re proud to share that the Partnership's Center for Family Involvement (CFI), in partnership with the Virginia Department for Aging & Rehabilitative Services (DARS), has supported 76 families across Virginia through the EPIC program.  This milestone reflects our hands-on approach to helping youth transitioning out of high school through pre-employment transition services, and people with disabilities move from subminimum wage to real pay in real jobs.

How We’re Making a Difference:

• Meeting Families Where They Are: We visit schools, work with local Community Services Boards (CSBs), and train DARS counselors to create a connected support system for families.

• Breaking Down Barriers: We help families plan for long-term success—navigating funding, accessing services, and understanding Supported Decision-Making.

• Peer-to-Peer Support: Our Family Navigators bring their own lived experience to guide and encourage families every step of the way.

Together, DARS and CFI are proving that with the right support, every person can find meaningful, lasting employment.
