Bio:

I am from Richmond and live in Rockville Va on our family farm. I have 2 kids that are 21 and 17 along with 2 dogs, 2 cats, and 2 birds.

Professional Experience:

I've worked in the disability field since 1998 starting at DBHDS. I came to the Partnership in 2003 and began working in research and then coordinating many projects in the organization.

Partnership Projects:

  • TBI
  • LEAP
  • Incident Management
  • Research
  • Operations Management

Expertise Areas:

  • Traumatic Brain Injury/Concussion Services
  • Abuse and Neglect Prevention of People with Disabilities
  • Certified Steward of Children

Certifications and Licensure:

  • Endorsed Instructor of Stewards of Children

Research Interests:

As part of the research team, I am always thinking of how research impacts what we do here at the Partnership and within each project. Even if it's only getting feedback on training, it's important for us to gather information whether it be for improvement or systemic change.

Accomplishments:

I'm very proud of the LEAP (Leadership for Empowerment and Abuse Prevention) project that has impacted many people with disabilities and the people who support them in teaching healthy relationships.
