Overview
Coordination of Virginia's Comprehensive System of Personnel Development (CSPD) for early interventionists who provide supports and services for infants and toddlers with developmental delays and disabilities and their families under Part C of the Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA).
Major Activities
- Develop, maintain, and support Virginia’s initial early intervention certification process
- Produce resources (webinars, trainings, videos, blog, modules, etc) to support ongoing early intervention professional development and certification
- Provide mandatory early intervention service coordination training

Funding Source
- VEIPD is a project of the Partnership for People with Disabilities through the School of Education at VCU. The project is funded through a contract with the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) to coordinate Virginia’s early intervention Comprehensive System of Personnel Development (CSPD).
